Monday

Still Life Drawing

(5:15pm - 6:45pm)

STILL LIFE

  • Students will learn how to proportionally measure objects from life, and translate the image onto a canvas. 

  • Students will learn how to create the illusion of 3 dimensional objects with the use of shadows and highlights

  • Our classes are a detailed study in light and shadows.

Tuesday

Individual Classes

(5:00pm - 6:30pm)

INDIVIDUAL CLASSES

  • Students will work on their own individual projects, which can vary from paintings, pencil drawings, and pen & ink drawings.

  • Classes will be limited to 6 students per class, to ensure equal attention from the instructor

  • Students will be able to directly ask questions to the instructor

Wednesday

Pen and Ink Drawing

(3:00pm - 4:30pm)

PEN & INK

  •  Drawing with pen and ink allows the artist to create strong areas of contrast. Most ink drawings are completed using black inks on white surfaces which leads to heavy contrast in value. Many artists choose to exploit this contrast.

  • These classes are a detailed study in light and shadows.

Thursday

Perspective Drawing

(5:15pm - 6:45pm)

PERSPECTIVE

  • Perspective is what gives a three-dimensional feeling to a flat image such as a drawing or a painting. In art, it is a system of representing the way that objects appear to get smaller and closer together the farther away they are from the viewer.

Friday

Skull Drawing

(4:00pm - 5:30pm)

SKULL DRAWING

  • The students will learn human skull, it helps the students understand portraits and see through the skin.

  • Learning the skull will mean student knows where to do more shades, contrasts and were need to be more blended.

  • Students will learn how to render objects with shadows and highlights.

Saturday

Still Life Painting

(10:00am - 11:30am)

(1:45pm - 3:15pm)

STILL LIFE

  • Students will learn how to proportionally measure objects from life, and translate the image onto a canvas. 

  • Still life is “simply” an arrangement of ordinary inanimate objects, natural or man-made, with a stable light source. It’s also a genre where the subjects, highlights and shadows all stay put and are controlled by the artist.

Sunday

Manga Drawing

(2:45pm - 4:15pm)

MANGA DRAWING

  • Manga are comics or graphic novels created in Japan or using the Japanese language and conforming to a style developed in Japan in the late 19th century.

  • We will learn scales, colors and proportions.

  • With this studies our students will be able to create new characters.
